Originally from Texas, Laurie Styvers was a student in late-60s London, where she recorded 'Spilt Milk' (1971) and 'The Colorado Kid' (1973). A gifted songwriter with an enchanting voice redolent of Carole King or Judee Sill, Styvers conjured superb late-60s/early-70s British pop.Styvers then moved to Colorado and left the music scene, passing away in 1998.'Gemini Girl: The Complete Hush Recordings' reappraises this enigmatic and unsung artist, with much previously unreleased material.
